During agricultural production, issues related to plant protection adversely affect the health of humans and other organisms, while also causing negative impacts on yield and quality parameters, leading to economic losses. Therefore, addressing the issue beyond "pest management" and developing a holistic approach in agriculture has become imperative. These reasons have led to restrictions on pesticide use and the prominence of chemical-free alternative and integrated pest management methods. To maintain this integrity, it is important for agricultural production systems to be sustainable. Effective pest management in sustainable agriculture is only possible through integrated pest management (IPM). As Alsera, a company conducting modern greenhouse activities under Alarko Agriculture Group, we implement the "Integrated Pest Management" (IPM) system in our technological greenhouses. In this approach, we utilize all methods of pest control, prioritizing non-chemical methods to combat diseases and pests, making IPM a ecologically sensitive management approach. Management of diseases and pests is carried out using the most economical methods, while eliminating or minimizing potential negative impacts on humans, other organisms, and the environment. Understanding the pest, its biological cycles, habits, and implementing simple measures before damage occurs makes pest control easier, more economical, and minimizes environmental impact in IPM.
