Due to our responsibility to the environment, we embrace a circular approach in our waste management practices implemented in Alsera greenhouses. We strive to minimize waste generated in our production processes and make continuous efforts to recycle as much as possible. By recycling waste generated in our operations, we ensure the reuse of raw materials. Additionally, we constantly develop innovative methods and technologies for the reuse of waste. This approach minimizes the environmental impact of waste while preserving natural resources.
We package the products produced in our greenhouses using fully recyclable packaging materials and supply them to the market. Any recyclable waste generated during production stages is transferred to licensed recycling companies. Furthermore, plant residues such as leaves and seedlings generated during production are shredded into small pieces using a specialized shredder, facilitating their volume reduction and transportation. These materials are then provided to stakeholders as raw materials for various uses such as composting and soil nutrient supplements.
The compressed coconut peat (coco peat) used in our production, suitable for various sectors (especially landscaping and ornamental plant cultivation), is redirected to these fields to prevent waste formation.
