At Alarko Agriculture Group, we focus on continuous improvement and implementing innovations in environmental sustainability. In line with this, we continually review and enhance the policies we apply in our operations. We are committed to preserving natural resources to leave a more livable world for future generations.
Through Alsera, we optimize water and energy usage in our production processes, ensuring efficient use of resources. We contribute to water conservation by implementing special measures for water saving and recycling wastewater. In soilless agriculture, "coco peat" provides a medium with high water retention properties, created by processing and compressing coconut husks into blocks. This method uses 60% less water compared to traditional farming, where much more water is typically used to maintain soil moisture for plant growth needs. Additionally, through our technology investments, we achieve an additional 30% savings in water and fertilizer use by reusing drainage water for irrigation and plant nutrition purposes. This results in up to 72% overall water savings.
