At Palmira Agro, through Turkey’s first hybrid micro granule fertilizer factory, launched in 2024 in Çankırı, we improve energy efficiency and minimize our carbon footprint by utilizing renewable energy systems. Our hybrid production technology enables us to reduce energy consumption by 65% and cut CO₂ emissions by the same rate compared to conventional manufacturing methods. To meet the energy demands of our facility, we rely on a solar power system with a capacity of 1,207.80 kWp. We also avoid fossil fuel use by operating electric forklifts, pallet trucks, and logistics systems throughout our production processes. We prioritize environmentally responsible practices at every stage of production. Wastewater generated during production is treated using biological treatment systems, ensuring safe disposal without harming the environment. In addition, to minimize air emissions, we employ a Scrubber (Gas Washing Tower) system that filters air released from production processes, resulting in cleaner emissions into the atmosphere. These practices position Palmira Agro as a leader in sustainable fertilizer production and contribute directly to Climate Action, one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. By adopting a low-carbon production model, we increase efficiency while preserving natural resources.
